Colostrum with polypeptide, rich in proline :  As for the colostrum there is  a separate article,  here I am not going  to stop in detail on the many benefits of it. Many women complain of  “cystitis”, which often complicates until pyelonephritis. Antiviral action: Lactoferrin is a key molecule in the immune system, and can be used to combat various viral infections. Immunomodulatory action: receptors for lactoferrin are found on different immunocompetent cells – T- lymphocytes (i.e.. called. killer – cells),  monocytes, macrophages. Lactoferrin contained in the oral cavity and gastrointestinal tract, stops  the growth of microbes or destroys them. Newborn piglets, in which food was added lactoferrin are much more resistant to infections – after injection of the toxin from Escherichia coli die only 17% of them, while in piglets receiving no lactoferrin, mortality is 74%.

Probiotic effect: Lactoferrin inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria in the intestine and
supports the development of bifidobacteria, contributing to the recovery of normal microflora. If the beneficial bacteria in the intestines are destroyed, their place is settled by harmful
bacteria producing various toxins, worsening of liver function, which is forced to dispose them.

Antioxidant action: linking free iron in the blood, apo-lactoferrin reduces the formation of free radicals and protects  lipids from oxidation, and the cells – from destruction. On the other hand, holo-lactoferrin attaches iron there and then, when and where it is necessary for the cells. This leads to delay in aging and lowers susceptibility to degenerative diseases and cancer.

Improved absorption of iron: due to its high affinity to iron lactoferrin connects and transmits it  to all cells in need of (it improves  bioavailability of iron in the body), which helps in rapid tackle with iron deficiency anemia, for example.
